TSDSI Successfully Concludes the 9th TSDSI Tech Deep Dive (TTDD) Conference 2026

TSDSI successfully concluded the 9th edition of its annual flagship TSDSI Tech Deep Dive (TTDD) Conference, held from 7–10 July 2026, under the theme:

“Shaping the Next Decade of Telecommunications: 6G Standards, Systems and Cross-Sector Synergies.”

The conference brought together leading experts and stakeholders from government, industry, academia, research institutions, and global standards bodies to engage in in-depth technical discussions on emerging telecommunications technologies and standards. TTDD 2026 once again served as a collaborative platform for advancing dialogue on strengthening India’s leadership and contributions to the global telecom standards ecosystem.

About TTDD 2026

The conference focused on the evolving standardization of 6G—defined as IMT-2030 by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)—which has now progressed from a vision-led phase to a requirements-driven stage with the finalization of baseline capabilities for next-generation networks. TSDSI highlighted its ongoing contributions to the development of the IMT-2030 framework, usage scenarios, and technical performance requirements, building upon the systems and learnings of 5G.

Building on discussions from previous editions, TTDD 2026 deliberated on “Standards, Systems and Cross-Sector Synergies,” emphasizing the alignment of standardization efforts with practical deployment imperatives.

The conference featured comprehensive discussions on AI-native, trusted, and scalable network architectures; open and interoperable platforms on general-purpose hardware; and innovations in High Altitude Platform Systems (HAPS). Deliberations also covered priority verticals, transformative use cases, sustainable and cost-efficient connectivity, and the convergence of AI, IoT, and intelligent infrastructure.

Participants also explored the growing importance of virtualized and AI-supported service delivery platforms for implementing evolving use cases, while emphasizing the critical role of cross-sector collaboration in realizing the full potential of future telecommunications networks. The conference reinforced the importance of standards development, technological innovation, and multi-sector partnerships in shaping a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready telecommunications ecosystem.

Technical Sessions

During 7–9 July 2026, TTDD 2026 featured six fully online technical sessions of 2 hours and 15 minutes each on the following themes:

  • Emerging 6G Architecture Options
  • AI Native 6G
  • Security, Privacy & Trust in 6G
  • HAPS-based Connectivity – Technical Feasibility, Trials, and Market Dynamics
  • Priority Verticals & Transformative Use Cases in 6G
  • Open and Interoperable Systems for Seamless Connectivity of Heterogeneous Networks

On 10 July 2026, the conference concluded with a hybrid programme comprising a Special Session titled “WRC-27 at Our Doorsteps: Perspectives on IMT Spectrum Priorities”, followed by the TTDD Concluding Session, during which summaries of the six technical sessions were presented.

The conference then held its Valedictory Session, graced by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Communications and Minister of Development of North East Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia. During the session, the Hon’ble Minister conferred the TSDSI Outstanding Technical Contribution (OTC) Awards for FY 2025–26, recognizing technical experts from TSDSI member organizations for their exceptional contributions to and leadership in TSDSI’s technical activities during the financial year.

Following the Valedictory Session, the conference concluded with a Panel Discussion on Partners’ Perspectives on the Conference Theme, featuring representatives from leading international standards development organizations and industry partners, who shared global perspectives on advancing 6G standardization and strengthening international collaboration.

TSDSI expresses its heartfelt appreciation to all distinguished speakers, session chairs, co-chairs, panellists, partners, delegates, sponsors, member organizations, and participants whose active engagement and valuable contributions made the 9th TSDSI Tech Deep Dive Conference 2026 a resounding success. The conference reaffirmed the collective commitment of the global telecommunications community towards shaping the next decade of standards, innovation, and digital connectivity.

TSDSI also extends its sincere gratitude to its Session Sponsors—Tejas Networks and Nokia—for their valued support, and to its Media Partner, tele.net, for effectively amplifying the conference proceedings, key discussions, and highlights throughout TTDD 2026.
