Abhishek Thakur
Abhishek Thakur is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology, where he works on 5G Use Cases Lab for BFS, Open-source technologies and FinTech collaboration.
His research interests include multimedia communications, financial inclusion and rural ICT deployments. In his 24 years career, split across industry and academia, and he has developed multiple global solutions for both product and services-based organizations.
At 5G Use Cases Lab, he champions the technology horizontals for cross domain network slicing, multi-access edge compute and rural connectivity. Besides pursuing applied academic research in BFS, he is also advising the IT teams of multiple banks. He is passionate about making technology simple and sustainable for the masses.
Aditya Khaitan
Aditya is a Partner with Technology, Media and Telecommunication consulting practice of Deloitte. He is currently leading key national level initiatives in African and Indian markets for new technology implementation, digital infrastructure and services implementation as well as telecom asset monetization
He has 17 years of consulting experience in the telecommunications sector. He has been part of consulting engagements in developed and emerging markets across more than 20 countries including wireless and wireline operators for enterprise and retail networks, broadband providers, LTE providers amongst others.
He has led, managed and delivered multiple engagements in areas of national broadband programs, technology strategy, business plan development, cost optimization, network sourcing, network assessment (process, cost and quality), telco launch assistance, network process design & implementation, network analytics, amongst others
AK Mittal
Shri A.K. Mittal is associated with TSDSI as Advisor with special focus on standardization in wireless and wireline systems and handles standards related activities of TSDSI in 3GPP and ITU-R.
He began his career in R&D at Indian Telephone Industries Ltd and later joined Department of Telecommunication (DoT), Government of India where he worked in a variety of domains like Satellite Communication, OFC, Microwave, Mobile Networks, Switching Systems, Network Management, Licensing, Regulation, Standards, Testing and Certification etc. He was Head, Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC), the technology arm of the Department of Telecommunications. He has represented the Government of India in various bilateral and multilateral international meetings.
He did his graduation in Electronics and Communications Engineering in 1976 from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He also holds a Diploma in Management. He has a career of over 44 years in the field of Telecommunications.
Akhilesh Srivastava
Akhilesh leads by driving IPR & Standards for innovations under Corp. R & I Organization of TCS. With vast experiences in industry and academia, he chaired TSDSI’s study group for services and solutions during past 2 terms. He is interested in Bhagavad-Gita research to boost AI technology using knowledge of ‘self’. He is alumni of BITS Pilani and Pantnagar University, Nainital.
Aloknath De
Dr. Aloknath De is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Samsung R&D Institute India (SRI-B).
Dr. De has over thirty years of industrial and research experiences including BEL, Nortel (Montreal), Hughes and with ST-Ericsson where he was R&D Director and Country Manager. During 2005-11, he has served as Visiting/Adjunct Professorship with IIT-Roorkee and IIT-Delhi. He holds B.Tech. from IIT, Kharagpur; M.E. from IISc, Bangalore; and Ph.D. from McGill University, Montreal.
He is a recipient of ‘Alexander Graham Bell Prize’ in Canada. He has received ‘IETE Memorial Awards’ for distinguished contributions in Electronics and Communications. He also received IDC Insights Award for Innovation in Telecom, Zinnov ‘Intrapreneurship of the Year’ award
Ambarish Anjaneyareddy
Ambarish Anjaneyareddy is the Director of Engineering at Sooktha. Ambarish has 15 years of experience in the Telecom and Cellular Wireless Industry.
His expertise and experience are primarily in 3GPP specifications and developing related products and solutions for both the Network Infrastructure and Test segments.
Anindita Banerjee
Dr Anindita Banerjee is currently adjunct scientist in CDAC Corporate R&D. She has published more than 20 Journal publications & co-authored a book on Optical quantum computation & quantum communication published in SPIE Spotlight Series. She worked as Quantum Research Head and VP at QuNu Labs focusing on quantum safe solutions for cyber security & played a key role in developing India’s first Quantum Technology Product in Quantum Key Distribution & Quantum random number generator.
Anindya Saha
Anindya is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Saankhya Labs with approximately 24 Years of experience. He is an expert on Software Defined Radios and has led the design and development of the Baseband and RF subsystems for Saankhya’s products in wireless communication.
He has been instrumental in 5G Radio, Broadcast Radio, and SDR Platform development, and holds several fundamental patents and publications in this domain.
He is a Senior Member, IEEE, and participates in standardization activities in 3GPP, ORAN and TSDSI. He is an alumnus of IISc Bangalore and IIT BHU and previously worked for Texas Instrument and Broadcom.
Anuradha Agarwal
Anuradha Agarwal, a member of the Indian Broadcast (Engineers) Service is currently Additional Director General (Engineering) in Prasar Bharati Secretariat (PBS), New Delhi India, PB network, encompassing Studios, Earth Stations and Transmitters of AIR and Doordarshan. She is responsible for overall management of a wide range of activities which include Policy formulation, Planning, induction of new technologies, Project implementation, monitoring, coordination etc. She has over three decades of experience in the broadcasting sector. As a visionary leader and with her extensive experience she has exhibited magnificent performance in conceptualizing and implementing strategic plans. She has played a crucial role in accelerating engineering activities like HDTV production and transmission systems in the network.
She was also associated with Research and Development activities on Sound & Television Broadcasting and has contributed immensely in the introduction of new technologies in broadcasting. She has participated and provided technical inputs to National & International Conferences and is also an active member of various National & International technical Committees.
ANURADHA UDUNUWARA
Anuradha is an expert in the field of Telecom & Technology and currently working as Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect at Sri Lanka Telecom. He has 18+ years of industry experience in strategy, architecture, engineering, design, plan, implementation, maintenance of CSP/DSP Networks & solutions designing. He is actively involved in strategy formation of his company’s Digital Transformation, Softwarization (SDN, NFV, Cloud) and R&D.
He is an Award-Winning MEF Subject Matter Expert for SD-WAN.
Anuradha is also a regular invited speaker at many conferences. He also works as a guest lecturer at the University of Peradeniya and as a faculty at CTO, UK. He holds a BSc. Eng. He is a senior member of IEEE, Fellow of BCS & member of IET.
Arun Agarwal
Arun Agarwal holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics Engineering and an MBA. He is an Indian Telecom Service Officer of 1990 batch and has about 29 years of experience in the areas of planning, installation, standardization, USOF Schemes etc. of telecommunication. Presently, he is working as a DDG in USOF, DoT, New Delhi and is involved in the projects such as BharatNet, Provisioning of mobile services in uncovered villages, etc.
Arzad Alam Kherani
Prof. Arzad Alam Kherani is Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at IIT Bhilai, and Adjunct Faculty at Bharti School of Telecommunication and Management, IIT Delhi.
He did his PhD and ME in Telecommunications from IISC Bangalore, and BE in Electronics from NIT Raipur. The broad areas of his research interests include computer networks, queuing systems and wireless communication. He has worked in industry for a decade and gained experience with product conceptualization, product design and development, industrial R&D and standardization. He is also the co-founder of AgVerse Technolgies Pvt Ltd.
Brejesh Lall
He is presently professor Electrical Engineering Department and has earlier served as the head of Bharti School of Telecom Technology and Management at IITD, and the coordinator of two centers of excellence, viz. Airtel IIT Delhi Centre of Excellence in Telecommunications and Ericsson IIT Delhi 5G Center of Excellence. He is also the incharge of an IoT laboratory that he set up in collaboration with Samsung. He is also the Co-PI of the Project “Building an end-to-end 5G Test Bed” funded by DoT.

Christopher Rice
Chris Rice is the CEO of STL Access Solutions. STL Access Solutions is dedicated to open, software-defined networking solutions at the edge of the network, covering both fiber and 5G. Solutions from the business unit range from 5G radio hardware, RAN Intelligent Controllers, broadband access systems, and software systems. During his career, Chris was awarded over 90 patents and in 2005, was the recipient of the AT&T Distinguished Scientist Award
Clara Li
Dr. Clara Li is a Senior Principal Engineer with the Next Generation and Standards division of Intel. Since joined Intel in 2012, Clara has been working on LTE and 5G communications system design and standardization in the area of air interface, radio access network, core network, and edge computing.
Clara is currently leading 6G technology development in Intel.
She also serves as the Chair of the Technology Steering Committee of IOWN GF. Clara received her PhD degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2011. She has more than 40 IEEE journal and conference publications, 4 book chapters, and 28 US patents.
D Janakiram
Prof. D. Janakiram is presently the Director of Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), an Institute established by the Reserve Bank of India.
He is a Board Member of Reserve Bank Innovation Hub (RBIH), Data Security Council of India (DSCI), IIIT Kurnool, Senate Member of IIIT Trichy and Member of Governing Body, Technology Innovation Hub, IIT, Bhilai.
He has served as Board of Studies member in several Universities including VIT University, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Anna University, Gujarat Technical University, Andhra University, SV University, JNTU, Hyderabad, JNTU, Kakinada and Academic Council member of Hindustan University.
A Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, he was awarded the Boyscast Fellowship in 1997, the IBM Faculty Award in 2007 and Yahoo Faculty Grant in 2009.
His current research focus is on building large scale distributed systems and challenges in big data processing, along with cloud computing and blockchain technologies.
Debarati Sen
Debarati Sen is currently an Associate Professor, IIT Kharagpur, India.
She was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with CUT, Sweden, and a Senior Chief Engineer with Samsung Research, Bangalore prior to join IIT Kharagpur in 2013. In 2014, Dr. Sen was a visiting faculty with TUM, Germany; and in 2019, she was an academic visitor with Monash University, Australia.
Her broad area of research is Wireless and Optical Communications including Interdisciplinary Computing. She has 13 patents and published more than 100 papers in Journals and Conferences.
She has received Best Paper Awards at Samsung Tech. Conference 2010 and IEEE ANTS 2016; IE(I) Young Engineers Award 2010; DAAD-IIT Faculty Fellowship 2014, Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship 2017, Faculty Excellence Award IIT Kharagpur 2020. She is a Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of IE(I) and IETE.

Ganesan Thiagarajan
Dr.Ganesan Thiagarajan is currently CTO of MMRFIC Technology Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore. With more than 25 years of experience in telecom/semiconductor devices industry, he had delivered multiple products in WLAN, Cellular infrastructure and mm-wave Radar systems.
He assumed various roles at Motorola, Texas Instruments and Arraycomm Inc., including system architect, Algorithm lead and R&D lead. He was elected to Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) during his tenure at Texas Instruments — less than 5% of the technical population gets this award. He holds 20 granted patents in USPTO and published several IEEE journal and conference papers. Gilad Garon
Gilad co-founded ASOCS in 2003 and has been spearheading the company as Chief Executive Officer ever since. Bringing with him extensive knowledge in mobile and telecommunications, he holds over 25 years of hands-on experience in international sales, marketing and product management. Driven by his passion for disruptive technologies and the re-definition of existing markets, Gilad steered ASOCS towards its focus on cellular virtualization and mobile edge clouds. Dr. Gopinath Rao Sinniah is the Chairman of Internet of Things (IoT) & Smart Sustainable City (SSC) Working Group under Malaysian Technical Standards Forum Bhd (MTSFB).
He is also the CTO and Co-Founder of Favoriot Sdn Bhd, a start-up focusing on IoT Platform and Solutions. He holds a Doctorate, Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia in Computer Science. He has architected many IoT solutions in current and previous organizations. He has many years of experiences in various IT industries, with the focus on Research and Development. An expert in IPv6 and Internet of Things and a Leader in standardization forums, locally and internationally.
Guna B. Shekar
Guna is a Telecom, Storage & Networking professional with a VLSI design background. He has spent about 18 years at LSI Logic (now Broadcom) and about 5+ years at various Silicon Valley ASIC Startups at various senior management roles. He is currently consulting with TSDSI and is also the founder/CEO of chatXpert Inc., a startup based out of Bangalore.
Hank Kafka
Hank has over 40 years of experience in telecommunications, focused on identifying key emerging technologies, shaping them to meet customer and service provider needs, and moving them from the lab to the network. He started his career in Bell Labs, and continued in leadership positions in Johnson Controls, BellSouth, and AT&T, where he held various responsibilities in network and device architecture, technology, standards, certification, and deployment. Hank is currently a member of the Executive Committee and an alternate board representative in the O-RAN Alliance.
Hanumantha Rayappa
Shri Hanumantha Rayappa, is currently working as Associate Director, in the areas of Satellite Communication Ground Segment, Applications and Policy Implementation in SATCOM Programme Office of ISRO HQ, Bengaluru. A keen contributor to utilization of communication satellites for services like Telemedicine, tele-education, VSAT Conectivity, Disaster management, Search and Rescue etc. Mr Rayappa has also played a pivotal role in proliferation of NaVIC and GAGAN Solutions.
Huzur Saran
Prof Huzur Saran is Professor in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Delhi. His research is focused on Computer Networks and Algorithms. His group has been working on a rural content distribution framework for building disruption tolerant applications and in the area of peer-to-peer audio/video collaboration frameworks for online education (supported in part under the National Mission on Education through ICT).
He did his Ph. D in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 1989. During 2000-2002 he was a Visiting Professor at the Information Systems Lab, Stanford where he worked on the media access control layer of an exploratory 4G wireless systems. He has been investigating wireless access and mesh technologies to enable ICT for rural masses.
Iain Sharp
Iain Sharp is a principal technologist at ATIS with an interest in the areas of mobile networks and their evolution. Within ATIS, he is responsible for leading activities related to 3GPP where he previously served as the Vice-Chair of CT Plenary.
His career started with working on prototype implementations of GSM and he has been associated with the development of standards for every subsequent mobile generation. Iain has a degree in Electronics and Information Sciences from the University of Cambridge and holds several patents for mobile technology.
Inder Gopal
Dr. Inder Gopal is the CEO of IUDX Program and is also Research Professor at IISc, Bangalore. Dr. Gopal has had a distinguished research career in the area of computer networks, with 20 patents and more than 70 technical publications to his credit. He has worked with some of the most well-known tech companies at senior positions and has founded, built-up, and successfully sold two venture-funded start-up companies.
Jason Tutty
Jason is responsible for planning, building, and maintaining the network with WIOCC teams based in East, South & West Africa and Europe including the Network Operations Centre in Kenya and managing the submarine cable infrastructure including EASSy, EIG & WACS and new systems including Africa.
WIOCC is Africa’s leading supplier of resilient, end-to-end managed, wholesale connectivity solutions into, out of and within Africa.
It has revolutionised the delivery of high-capacity connectivity between Africa and the rest of the world and are currently building Africa’s first, truly hyperscale network infrastructure to ensure cloud operators, content providers, fixed and mobile telcos, ISPs and other operators can take advantage of the many opportunities Africa has to offer – both now and in the future.
Jishnu Aravindakshan
Jishnu is a Principal Architect in CTO’s office at Tejas Networks. He is driving the company’s long term technology roadmap. He is actively engaged in contributing to development of standards at the ITU-T SG15, ITU-R WP-5D and 3GPP RAN1/SA2, and successfully coordinated TSDSI efforts for inclusion of TSDSI’s 5Gi in IMT2020 at ITU. Earlier, Jishnu steered development of the CPRI Fronthaul standard at TSDSI. He has filed for 16 patents and is currently focussing on 5G-Adv evolution, IIoT and network slicing.
Jitendra Singh
Jitendra Singh is working with Qualcomm since 2009. His responsibilities include interfacing with regulatory and policy making agencies in the region on behalf of Qualcomm. Jitendra has more than 30 years of experience in the field of communications management. Prior to his appointment at Qualcomm he served in the government.
He has been actively involved in National Working Groups of the ITU-R in India and has been a key contributor in all the Standards related activities of the Industry. Jitendra has been part of the Indian delegation in almost all WP5D meetings of ITU-R and AWF/AWG/APT meetings since 2006. His work includes the advocacy and planning of identification of additional spectrum for IMT and mobile broadband at various forums – National as well as Global. He had been an active contributor by introducing a number of papers in ITU-R on behalf of India. He plays a key role in APT region telecom industry coordination activities.
He is part of many industry associations. He has created and submitted many spectrum policy related papers in ITU and APT on behalf of India. Jitendra heads Global Mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) India chapter. He has been working closely with spectrum management team of DoT on various spectrum issues and associated technical studies. He was actively involved in harmonization of various frequency bands (e.g. 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz and 2300 MHz). He has been invited in many international forums as a speaker on spectrum and spectrum management. He is also a leading expert on 5G spectrum in India. Jitendra holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has done post-graduation in business administration from Symbiosis and Advance Computing from CDAC, India.
Jordi J. Gimenez
Dr. Jordi J. Gimenez is Head of Technology at the 5G Media Action Group (5G-MAG), the global association bridging the Media and ICT industries to develop the standard-based ecosystem for media distribution, production and contribution using 5G. During his career he has been involved in standardization activities within DVB, ATSC and 3GPP in the domain of next-generation media distribution. He is author of several patents, international scientific papers and book chapters and received an IBC Award in 2016 for research in Wideband Broadcasting, together with Teracom and Panasonic. Prior to 5G-MAG, he was a researcher at the iTEAM Research Institute of the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia, Spain, and Project Manager at the Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT), Germany.
Juho Lee
Juho Lee is currently a Fellow with Samsung Electronics, where he is leading research and standardization for mobile communications.
He joined Samsung Electronics in 2000 and has worked on 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. He is now leading research for future technologies such as 5G evolution and 6G. He was a vice chairman of 3GPP RAN WG1 from February 2003 to August 2009 and chaired LTE/LTE-Advanced MIMO sessions.
He received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Korea, in 2000. Dr. Lee is a Fellow of IEEE.

K Rajaraman
Shri K. Rajaraman, Chairman DCC and Secretary (Telecom), Department of Telecommunications, Govt. of India. Shri K. Rajaraman, a senior Indian Administrative Service Officer of Tamil Nadu cadre, is a B. Tech in Electronics & Communications, a first class MBA and Master of Economics.
Starting his career as a Design Engineer in BHEL, Mr Rajaraman has previously held various administrative positions – notably MD of Chennai Metro, Commissioner for Commercial Taxes- Govt. of Tamil Nadu; and Jt Secretary Expenditure in Govt. of India in the recent past.
He currently serves as Additional Secretary, Investment, IER and Admn. in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance apart form holding charge as Secretary, Deptt of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications.
K S Parikh
K S Parikh graduated in Electronics and Communications from M S University of Baroda in 1986. He is working with Space Applications Centre, Indian Space Research Organization, Ahmedabad since 1986 for the indigenous design and development of Satellite Communication and Navigation Payloads for INSAT/GSAT satellites. He is currently Associate Program Director and Deputy Director for SATCOM and Navigation Payload Area at SAC.
K. Giridhar
Giridhar is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at IIT Madras, India
His research interests are in the areas of adaptive signal processing and wireless communications systems with an emphasis on various transceiver algorithms and custom air-interface design for strategic communications. He guides the Telecom and Wireless Sensing research group at IIT Madras.
Giridhar has been a consultant for many telecom and signal processing organizations and research labs in India. He has also been on sabbaticals with Gigabit Communications Inc, San Jose, Beceem Communications Inc, Santa Clara, and with Data Patterns (India) Pvt Ltd. He is a founding Director of QallCover Communications LLP, Chennai. He has also been a visiting faculty at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, and Stanford University, California.
He received his Masters degree from IISC Bangalore and PhD from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Kiran Kuchi
Dr. Kiran Kuchi, a professor at IIT Hyderabad, is a globally recognized innovator in the realm of 5G standards development.
He has introduced the culture of developing wireless Standards Related Patents in India through his leadership role at Telecom Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI) and has contributed towards the creation of several important technologies in the 5G standards.
Dr. Kuchi has invented & co-invented over 100 patents in the 4G/5G technology, of which more than 50 patents have resulted from his work carried out in India.

Madeleine Noland
Madeleine Noland is the President of the Advanced Television Systems Committee Inc. Widely respected for her consensus-building leadership style, she chaired the ATSC technology group that oversees the ATSC 3.0 next-generation broadcast standard before being named ATSC President in May 2019. Previously, she chaired various ATSC 3.0-related specialist groups, ad hoc groups and implementation teams since 2012.

Mario Neri
With more than 13 years of experience in the satellite industry, Telesat’s Mario Neri is responsible for securing the appropriate spectrum and orbital resources for the company’s Low Earth Orbit satellite constellation. Mario takes a leading role in coordinating the access to these scarce resources with other users, including satellite operators and government agencies.
Prior to Telesat, Mario led the team at UK communications regulator Ofcom that was responsible for the management of the ITU filings for more than 20 stakeholders and collaborating with the rest of the Satellite & Space Science team for regulating the spectrum used by the various space applications in the UK. Mario joined Ofcom after working for Eutelsat and Inmarsat, two of the largest global satellite operators.

Matti Latva-aho
Matti Latva-aho received the M.Sc., Lic.Tech. and Dr. Tech (Hons.) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oulu, Finland in 1992, 1996 and 1998, respectively.
From 1992 to 1993, he was a Research Engineer at Nokia Mobile Phones, Oulu, Finland after which he joined Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) at the University of Oulu. Prof. Latva-aho was Director of CWC during the years 1998-2006 and Head of Department for Communication Engineering until August 2014.
Currently he serves as Academy of Finland Professor in 2017 – 2022 and is Director for National 6G Flagship Programme for 2018 – 2026. His research interests are related to mobile broadband communication systems and currently his group focuses on beyond 5G systems research.
Prof. Latva-aho has published close to 500 conference or journal papers in the field of wireless communications. He received Nokia Foundation Award in 2015 for his achievements in mobile communications research.
Michael Kraemer
Michael Kraemer is Director Communications Policy EMEA at Intel’s Global Government Affairs group, where he oversees Intel’s technical regulatory activities on spectrum strategy in Europe on matters relevant to Intel’s wireless products. He works closely with Intel’s business units to implement Intel’s spectrum strategy in CEPT and ITU-R through engagement with industry and regulators to ensure timely and adequate availability of spectrum resources in support of Intel product plans. As part of his participation in these regulatory activities he chairs various working groups within CEPT and ITU-R that focus on technical regulatory conditions for the key spectrum bands for 5G and Wi-Fi, and has chaired Agenda Item 1.13 at WRC-19 (identifying mmWave bands for IMT).
Before joining Intel, Michael worked at German mobile network operator E-Plus (now Telefonica) mainly in the CTO Office on spectrum management issues, developing spectrum strategies in coordination with the corporate regulatory team to shape the technical regulatory framework in Europe and internationally, working closely with regulators and representatives from the mobile industry. Mythili Vutukuru is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay. Dr. P.K. Jain has been working in ISRO Headquarters, Bangalore as Associate Director for ‘Frequency Management & Satcom Planning’. Presently he is also Vice Chairman, ITU-R Study Group-4, Chairman of SWG 4C4 of WP 4C of ITU-R, and Chairman of National Study Group on Satellite Services. He started his career with ISRO in 1989 and has worked for establishment of remote sensing and Satcom earth stations, implementation of Satcom Application-Programmes like Tele-education, Search and Rescue, DTH based Disaster Warning Dissemination System, etc. He has also held responsibility for the implementation of Satcom Policy & transponders capacity management and navigation programme.

Pranav Jha
Pranav Jha has 20+ years of research and development experience in communication and networking technologies with expertise in wireless network architectures, communication protocols and resource management algorithms. He is an active participant in the development of technical standards in the areas of fifth generation wireless communication networks and Software Defined Networking (SDN) and currently chairs two IEEE working groups, namely, SDN based Middleware for Control and Management of Networks – IEEE P1930.1 and Frugal 5G Networks – IEEE P2061.
He currently works with IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India as a Senior Consultant where he focusses on research programmes under the broad umbrella of wireless communication and networking, with emphasis on SDN based architectures for Wireless Networks, Public Safety Communication and Rural Broadband Communication. Radha Krishna Ganti
Radhakrishna Ganti is an Associate Professor at IITMadras. He was Postdoctoral researcher in Wireless Networking and Communications Group at UT Austin from 2009-11. He received his B.Tech and M.Tech in EE from IITMadras and Masters in Applied Mathematics and Ph.D. in EE from the University of Notre Dame in 2009.
His doctoral work focused on spatial analysis of interference networks using tools from stochastic geometry. He is a co-author of monograph Interference in Large Wireless Networks (NOW Publishers, 2008). He chairs National committees in TEC [National working group-20 (NWG-20)] to coordinate with ITU- T SG-20 on IoT and Smart Cities & Communities; and in BIS [LITD-27] to coordinate with ISO/IEC JTC1 SC41 on IoT and Digital Twin. He participated as a head of Indian delegations in the meetings of these international organizations.
He also chairs TEC Consultative Committee for adoption of oneM2M specifications transposed by TSDSI, resulting the adoption of oneM2M Release 2 as National standard. IoT Reference Architecture released recently by BIS has also referred these TEC standards.

Mr. U. K. Srivastava is heading National Telecommunications Institute for Policy Research, Innovation and Training (NTIPRIT) as Senior Deputy Director General. NTIRIT is engaged in meeting the training requirements of DoT and is also tasked to commission in-house and outsourced studies for specific areas of concern, such as impact of policy implementations, economic and environmental benefits of technology, technology forecast, security aspects etc.
Prior to joining NTIPRIT, he worked for four and half years as Principal Advisor in Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, looking after telecom networks, spectrum and licensing. He was responsible for recommendation to the government on the issues of spectrum management, licensing issues of access, national long distance, International Long Distance, Machine to Machine Communications, Broadband, Satellite Communications, Internet Telephony etc. He is also responsible for laying down regulations for network interconnection, Interconnection User Charge, Mobile Number Portability, charges for Cable Landing Stations etc.

He belongs to the 1983 batch of Indian Telecom Service and is trained in transmission technologies, including optical, radio and satellite communications. He has managed various telecom activities including operations, maintenance, training, quality assurance, standardization and policy.
He was deputed to ITU to serve in Iraq for two years and at ITU HQ in Geneva for a year and half.
V Raghunandan
Mr V Raghunandan, currently – Secretary, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), is coordinating all the activities related to Telecom and Broadcasting sectors. Prior to this, he was serving as Deputy Director General – International Relations at Department of Telcommunications HQ where he was responsible for key initiatives related to establishment of ITU Area office and Innovation Centre in India. He also played key role in effectively presenting India’s position on Cyber security related matters to ITU resulting in India reaching Top 10 Rankings in Global Cyber Security Index during 2020.

Vishnu Ram
Vishnu Ram OV is an Independent Research Consultant. He has hands-on experience in the field of Telecom industry for more than two decades, developing and implementing standards, and holds many international granted patents.
His current work items include coordinating standards initiatives, liaisons with other SDOs, industry bodies, open source and academia, mentoring student projects and coordinating the ITU “AI/ML in 5G“ Challenge across the globe. He served as a guest editor of JICTS (Journal of ICT Standardization) special Issue on Zero-touch Network and Service Automation (ZSM). Vishnu is an active member of NWG13 (National Working Group 13)

VK Sanjeevi
Dr V K Sanjeevi, ITS, is currently serving as Chief General Manager, Chennai Telephone District, BSNL. He has worked in various positions and locations in DoT/ BSNL including a stint in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He has recently completed his PhD in Cloud Computing and IoT.
William (Bill) Janky
Bill (William) Janky is Senior Standards Engineer working on mission critical standards development for the First Responder Network Authority.
Bill has over 40 years of experience in a broad range of technical disciplines, and a recognized expert in the area of system architecture definition and design for Land Mobile Radio and Mission Critical Public Safety Communication Systems. He was an active participant in P25 and TIA TR-8 LMR standards development since 2005, and is currently actively involved in 3GPP standards development where he has made significant contributions to the Mission Critical suite of specifications in 3GPP SA1 and SA6, particularly MCPTT requirements and architecture.
Bill has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Illinois where he was a bronze tablet scholar, and a Master’s in EE from Syracuse University. He is also a graduate of GE’s Advanced Course in Engineering.
